Today, favourable weather conditions assisted ACT firefighters working to extinguish the fire and build containment lines. The medium helicopter undertook waterbombing operations and the Specialist Intelligence Gathering (SIG) helicopter continued to monitor the Hospital Hill fire and fires close to our borders in surrounding NSW. Crews will patrol and monitor the Hospital Hill fire over the coming days. ESA will inform the community if the situation changes over the next 24 hours. The SIG has captured our crews on the ground working to extinguish the fire and build containment lines.

The glowing patches seen in the inferred footage are small active fires. The yellow patches indicate heat.
There is currently no threat to homes in the ACT from this fire activity.
