Storm and Flood Assistance
At 8:23pm ACT Fire & Rescue responded to an automated fire alarm and emergency triple zero calls to a fire at 108 Northborne Avenue Canberra City.
Upon arrival to the Capital Executive Apartments firefighters immediately commenced firefighting and rescue operations.
4 Pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus and HAZMAT trucks along with the Vertical Rescue Bronto and a Commander are currently on scene.
The Bronto has been deployed for vertical rescue of persons on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the three level apartment complex.
ACT Ambulance Service paramedics are on scene treating persons with injuries and smoke inhalation.
The Apartment complex is being evacuated with firefighters undertaking search and rescue operations in a heavily smoke logged environment.
