ACT Fire & Rescue is working to extinguish a house fire in Wanniassa.
Firefighters were alerted to the incident on Sternberg Crescent at 1:52am and responded with three fire pumpers, BA support, a logistics vehicle and a commander.
There has been no extension of the fire to neighbouring properties, and crews are fighting the fire defensively at this stage.
Residents self-evacuated, but one male occupant of the house was treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service intensive-care paramedics for minor burns he received while attempting to fight the fire, and has been transported to The Canberra Hospital.
