Update five - Switchboard incident at The Canberra Hospital - service update

The Canberra Hospital has now returned to business as usual operations.

The Emergency Department is fully functional and the Canberra Hospital phone switchboard is also operational. Hospital Road, which runs through The Canberra Hospital campus reopened early this afternoon.

All elective surgery and outpatient services will be reinstated tomorrow (Friday 7 April). Appointments booked for tomorrow will proceed as planned.

ACT Health is contacting patients whose surgery or appointments were affected today to ensure they have a rescheduled appointment at the earliest opportunity.
