ACT Fire & Rescue has evacuated a building in Belconnen after an automatic fire alarm was triggered and a smell of gas was reported..
Crews were alerted to the incident on Cohen Street at 1:41pm and responded with two fire pumpers, the Bronto aerial firefighting appliance, a hazmat team and a commander vehicle.
Firefighters are currently investigating the source of the smell and conducting atmospheric monitoring.
