Storm and Flood Assistance
The Territory and Municipal Services Directorate and the ACT Emergency Services Agency advise water is likely to be released from Scivener Dam in the next 20 minutes.
Following heavy rainfall it may be necessary to open one gate to let out some excess water from the Molonglo River.
A water release could lead to a sudden rise in water downstream. This could possibly affect a number of low level crossings of the Molonglo River if water levels get too high.
The public is reminded to stay well clear of crossings south of the dam and other storm water drains, ponds, lakes and flooded cycleways.
