Hazard reduction burns today and tomorrow in Chapman and Coombs

The Territory and Municipal Services Directorate (TAMS) today will conduct hazard reduction burns in Weston Creek and the Molonglo Valley.

The first will cover 41 hectares at Mount Arawang in the Cooleman Ridge Nature Reserve in Chapman.

The second will be located near John Gorton Drive at Coombs with about seven hectares to be burned.

The burning is scheduled to continue tomorrow (Thursday 21 April 2016) at Mount Arawang and also a new site near John Gorton Drive at Coombs.
