Update eight - Hailstorm strikes the ACT

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has now received 478 calls for help as a result of the hail storm last night.

So far 325 jobs have been completed by ACTSES volunteer units, ACT Fire & Rescue firefighters and TAMS crews.

The call outs are mostly for flooding and roof damage.

The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting showers today and the chance of a storm this afternoon.
