Update - Firefighters investigating chemicals at Nishi building in the City

The area has been deemed safe and ACT Fire & Rescue is about to depart the scene.

The chemicals have been indentified to be hydrochloric acid with the other material, believed to be asbestos, still being investigated.

A private contractor will remove the chemicals and material from the area.
