ACT RFS continues to assist with NSW fire

An ACT Rural Fire Service strike team continues to support NSW crews on the fire ground at Yass this evening.

The team consists of four heavy tankers, a medium tanker and a commander.

Additional resources have been deployed to Murrumbatemen to support air operations from that location.

ACT volunteers have also been assisting with aviation support at Canberra Airport and the Hume Helicopter Base throughout the afternoon.

It is anticipated that ACT RFS volunteers will continue to provide support to this incident over the coming days.
