Update - House fire in Mawson

The fire is under control but continues to smoulder.

It is believed the heat ignited the fireworks which had been stored in the ceiling.

The resident, who called Emergency Triple Zero (000), self-evacuated and was assessed by intensive care paramedics.

ACT Ambulance Service advised there were no injuries.

ACT Fire & Rescue has three pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Van and a commander on scene.
