Two ACT landholders will conduct agricultural burns tomorrow, Friday 3 October, 2014, weather permitting.
A 15 hectare agricultural burn is planned at the property "Top Naas", Naas Road, Naas Valley via Tharwa.
The second agricultural burn is planned at the property "Huntly" Uriarra Road, via Weston. A number of pile burns are expected to be carried out by the landholder.
Temporary smoke cover may occur.
The Health Directorate advises that people with asthma, other chronic respiratory and/or chronic cardiac diseases should not perform vigorous exercise and should stay inside if affected by the smoke. People with asthma in particular should continue their medication and consult their general practitioner if they have any difficulties.
