ACT Fire & Rescue is currently attending a fire at a scrap yard in the Beard industrial estate.
Crews were alerted to the incident on Underwood Street at 1:20pm and responded with two compressed air foam system (CAFS) tankers, two fire pumpers and a commander vehicle.
Several scrapped cars were found well-alight and firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze.
One staff member at the scrap yard has been treated at the scene by the ACT Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation.
